The Gameplay

As Iron Man and War Machine, it is your task to find the super villain Whiplash and destroy his mechanical creations along the way in Iron Man 2. When you take control of Iron Man, the game exhibits a side scrolling shooter. Avoid all enemies such as air mines that explode and damage Iron Man or even the Cutter, which moves fast and cuts through even steel. Return fire at all enemies by using Iron Man's laser cannons. When Iron Man's special gauge is full, unleash his special attack which destroys all enemies on screen. Power ups are scattered along the way which replenish Iron Man's health bar and fills up his special bar as well. The enemies and obstacles are unforgiving in this game and you will take many hits; however, there are many power ups that restore your life.
When you take control of War Machine, the game switches to a first person shooter. Use War Machine's gatling gun and shoot down enemies that pop up in front of you. You have to be quick in shooting down enemies as they do return fire. You must also be conservative with War Machine's gatling gun because unlike Iron Man's laser cannons, War Machine's gatling gun can overheat and you are left vulnerable when it does that. Power ups can pop up also and instead of picking them up like with Iron Man's stages, War Machine must shoot them to collect them.

Score enough points and you can also unlock profiles that give detailed information on Iron Man, War Machine and even the super villain Whiplash.
