How good was Spiderman 3 The Movie?
Spiderman 3 Poster The third part of Spiderman series of movies, which was expected to amaze us yet again with it innovative approaches to Peter Parker's story and the abundance of awesome animations, fighting scenes and web slinging, somehow failed to meet expectations. Don't get the wrong idea, Spiderman 3 is a good movie. Nevertheless, what was done so far with the two previous Spiderman movies, made us expect a lot more, and get disappointed subsequently. The story is there, innovations are there, however, Spiderman 3 seems to have gone overboard. How, you might ask... Well, the the same innovations seem to be the problem. Spiderman 3 simply has too many things stuffed into the plot.
The Plot and Facts about Spiderman 3
Since every previous part of Spiderman was mainly about the moral,
personal, physical and emotional metamorphosis of Peter Parker and his
life in general, Spiderman 3 is no exception. Here, we are introduced
with yet another stage of his personality, both as a young journalist
and as our web slinging superhero. As far as Peter is concerned, we get
the impression that he might be too old for his age, discussing some
quite serious matters of personal life, even though he is supposed to be
somewhere around 23-24 years of age. Love questions and puzzles, mixed
emotions, passion, humor, all the good stuff from the previous Spiderman
movies can be found here, yet with much less focus on a good plot and
an enjoyable storyline.
As for the heroes and antiheroes, Spiderman 3 went too much into
details. Namely, our friendly neighbor gets in symbiosis with a dark goo
of sorts, which brings out the worst in him, making him evil and
ruthless at times. At the same time he is faced with the Green Goblin
Jr. which is his former friend Harry. Just to make things more
confusing, Venom appears for a minimal span of time while, at the same
time we have another character introduced in Spiderman 3. Namely, this
is Flint Marko, the sandman who, as we find out, was the actual killer
of Uncle Ben in the first part of Spiderman . Confused much?
Overall Impression of Spiderman 3
This movie has its good sides. There is the inevitable, amazing computer
animation, incredible web usage scenes along with the dynamics we got
used to. The acting of Tobey McGuire is stunning too, since he shows us
some advancement through each part of Spiderman. However, Spiderman 3
could have been better if there was a specific goal. This way, we have
too many different tings which were to be told. Still, it seems that
none of the stories incorporated in Spiderman 3 are not expressed
entirely.
